Coffs Harbour

Cultural Trust

The Coffs Harbour Cultural Trust was established through Prosper Coffs Harbour Limited (PCH Ltd) to provide a source of funding for the promotion of literature, music, performing arts, visual arts, design, new media, Aboriginal Arts and creative industries within the region.

The Trust has direct linkages to the ‘MyCoffs’ Community Strategic Plan that was developed by Coffs Harbour City Council. However, as PCH Ltd is a separate legal entity the Trust will provide another mechanism for further research, promotion and support.

The Minister for the Arts has approved the Coffs Harbour Cultural Trust for entry to the Register of Cultural Organisations (RoCo). This enables individuals donating to the public fund to receive a tax deductible receipt for their donation.

The goals and strategies for the Cultural Trust will be to develop capacity and further the depth of cultural life within the Coffs Harbour region, this will include:

  • Fostering the vision of the region’s arts and creative industries and championing them to succeed.
  • Promoting the Coffs Harbour region as a place for creative expression and recreational opportunities.
  • Building new sources for future growth and prosperity from the cultural economy and creating access to a wide variety of cultural products and services.
  • Recognising and preserving the unique cultural heritage of the Coffs Harbour region and enabling a shared and deeper understanding of the people who live in the area.

The Coffs Harbour Cultural Trust has an Advisory Committee comprised of community member representatives of the wider arts sphere. Members who are selected onto the committee have considerable professional expertise and proven community involvement in art and culture.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest to recruit new members onto the Advisory Committee. If you are interested in applying and would like further information, please review the Charter for the Advisory Committee through the following link Charter- Coffs Harbour Cultural Trust Advisory Commitee.
